NAPLAN Training Program
The National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is for all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 in all government and non-government schools. This program, which will be run in all States and Territories of Australia, will assess literacy and numeracy skills of all students. It is important to note that your childs results will be used by schools over the coming years to make important decisions about their learning.
The NAPLAN will replace the Basic Skills Test and the Year 7/8 ELLA and SNAP programs.
The NAPLAN test will assess skills at a higher level than the Basic Skills Test and parents should be aware that preparation for the NAPLAN is necessary to ensure success.
We will be offering this preparation in two options:
Option One: All Centres
Date: Saturdays 28th March, 4th April & 2nd May OR Sundays 29th March, 5th April & 3rd May
Time: 12:30-2:00pm
Week One: Language Conventions & Writing
Week Two: Language Conventions & Reading
Week Three: Numeracy
Option Two: Chatswood Holiday Workshop or Rosebery Centre
Date: Thursday 23rd April (Chatswood Only)
Time: 9:30 4:30pm
ORDate: Friday 8th May (Rosebery Only)
Time: 4:00-8:30pm
