History
Since its inception in 1991, North Shore Development Centre has grown from one centre in Chatswood, New South Wales, to over 50 centres situated in Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, centres are located in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
Services
Parents and students come to the centre for advice on a broad range of educational issues and assistance. In addition, the centre organises free educational seminars to provide parents (in particular migrant parents) information about schooling and university in Australia.
Courses
Many thousands of students have studied through the NSDC training programs and success stories abound. NSDC is noted in the community for its commitment it places on delivering quality educational services to our customers. The courses meet the different educational needs of students looking for extension/acceleration, support for those who are below average at school or students looking for a different educational environment to broaden their thinking. Courses are comprehensively developed by a panel of teachers and constantly updated to ensure syllabi are followed. Regular competitions and innovative leisure courses complement the variety of academic courses offered.
Community Services
NSDC also supports many community projects, having supported sporting groups, music competitions, chess competitions, and other extra-curricular projects in the community, along with charity organisations such as Breast Cancer Foundation, Red Cross, Way In Network and Lion's Club.
Competitions and Tournaments
NSDC organises a variety of annual competitions including Creative Problem Solving Competition, Chess tournament, Mothers' Day Poetry Competition and Future Writers Australia Competition.
