I am delighted to have this opportunity to offer my encouragement and congratulations on your outstanding academic and extra curricular achievements. Today’s presentation recognises your dedicated commitment to achieving academic excellence.
Education is as much about building character as it is about transferring skills, knowledge and the thirst for learning. It is important for any educational institution to not only inspire students to realise their potential and strive for excellence, but also instil the values that define us as Australia’s honesty, integrity and fairness.
It is about equipping our young Australians with the skills and abilities to make a contribution to our community and to our country. I am confident that during your time at North Shore and at your school that you will continue to achieve academically and be prepared to face the challenges of the future.
